Pilot Production Line for Thousand-Ton Scale Sodium-Ion Battery Materials Project
Jinyu Battery New Materials Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd. was established in the High-tech Zone in September 2023 by Haiyu New Materials (Xuzhou) Co., Ltd. and its team, with a registered capital of 30 million RMB. The main project is a pilot production line for new sodium battery materials with an annual output of 1,000 tons. The technical and management teams of Haiyu New Materials are primarily from Central South University, Tongji University, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The company is a domestic supplier of cathode materials for hydrogen fuel cells and high-performance materials for power lithium batteries. The total planned investment for the project is 800 million RMB, to be carried out in two phases: Phase I will invest 80 million RMB to build a 1,000-ton annual pilot production line for new sodium battery materials; Phase II plans to invest 720 million RMB to construct a 50,000-ton new battery materials industrial park. Haiyu New Materials has factories in Hunan, Yunnan, and Shandong, supplying cathode materials for hydrogen fuel cells to Bosch and Busan Electric Tool Company of Korea. Since Q4 2022, the company has focused on the development of sodium battery cathode materials, and has already secured large-scale procurement intentions from over three enterprises. Factory renovation subsidy: A subsidy of up to 3 million RMB will be provided for factory repairs, power capacity expansion, and ground hardening. Talent apartments: Up to 15 hotel-style talent apartments will be provided.
